從幾個角度來比較一下吧。第一，專業排名，化學工程usnews排名差不多，普渡會稍微更靠前一點。PureUniversity--WestLafayetteWestLafayette,IN並列第十五，PennsylvaniaStateUniversity--UniversityParkUniversityPark,PA並列第二十名。在一個檔次，這說明兩個學校在化學工程這個專業上學術能力差別不大。但是普渡稍微要強一點。第二，綜合排名，PSU綜合排名並列47，普渡66位，從綜合排名來說，PSU在前五十，而普渡要稍微差一個檔次。第三，地理位置：PSU,離匹茲堡需3小時車程、費城Philadelphia及華府WashingtonDC需3.5小時車程、紐約NewYork需4小時車程、波士頓需7小時車程;普渡,印第安納州Indiana、西拉法葉WestLafayette，離首都印第安納玻利茲Indianapolis及芝加哥Chicago均約1個半小時車程.兩所學校都位於五大湖區，位置都還不錯。PSU會更偏一些。第四，費用，消費水平差不多，普渡會稍微偏高一點。均為公立大學，學校相對便宜，一般來講PSU會稍微低一些。具體的還看自己看重什麼吧，除了列出來的還包括，工作機會，自然環境，學術氛圍，安全……

化學很好，生物一般。學生物要找有醫學院的地方，生物畢竟是研究生命的地方。文化氣氛也不錯。但是最近揭出的一件丑聞確實使該學校跌份不小（原足球助理教練性騷擾兒童；學校和教練沒有意識到嚴重性，沒有處理好）
